Pepe Systems Labs, a memetic compute experiment

We build at the seam where internet folklore meets real engineering. Half research lab, half swamp. The frog on your screen is not an image — it is an equation being solved sixty times a second, one ray at a time.

Everything here is a live prototype. If it renders, it ships. If it ships, it mutates. Nothing fancy, just goooood old R&D.

Some random tech

The logo is a signed distance field — a stem, a punched-through bowl, a rolled cap band and two ears, smooth-unioned into one surface, then displaced by 3-octave value noise so it grows the fur. It is raymarched from scratch in a single fragment pass: no meshes, no textures, no geometry ever leaves the GPU.

A second pass does the rest — screen-space displacement, chromatic aberration that widens toward the edges, a cheap threshold bloom, and an 8×8 Bayer matrix that dithers luminance down to six colours and nothing more. Every frame is audio-reactive: turn SOUND on and the warp, the fuzz and the bloom all ride the track. Left off, the frog breathes on a synthetic idle pulse instead — it never looks dead.
